'Local Development Framework' Consultation
The Parish Council have submitted their response to the Site allocations and Policies Development Plan Document - Issues and Options Consultation.
Empingham, was the first in Rutland to complete a Village Design Statement in 2002, and it was felt that whilst there is much to agree on in the Local Development Framework document, care should be taken to allow the right kind of development that will enhance the community and protect and value our heritage and identity.
We consulted widely on the document, including holding a well-attended Public Meeting, and hope that many residents themselves responded to the consultation.
Empingham welcomes the opportunity to encourage development that will enable families, individuals and businesses to prosper in our village, in a balanced and vibrant community with good facilities, services and communications.
